Ok, lets go step by step (warning wall of text):  
1.Get the link of an image or gif that you wanna use in your comment, example this link (https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/f/f8/FANMADE_Flying_derpy_vector.gif/revision/latest?cb=20121224204742), this is a Derpy gif. Try to post it.  
2.Copy and paste the link in the comment box and write an exclamation mark (!) before and after the link. It can’t have spaces between the link and the exclamation marks.  
3.Click/tap the preview tab to see if your link is working. You should see the image; if you can’t, try another link or see if you have it right. Try to use links that have a image format on it (jpeg, gif,png…) they should work just fine.  
4.If you can see your image in the preview tab, that means it will work on the real comment.
 
TL;DR. Get a image’s link from google, copy/paste it between exclamation marks(!) and see in the preview tab if it worked.
