Right, just as weird, I think… Wait, I’m thinking of Nashville. Eh, I dunno. X3
I was either referring to the tax collector from Kentucky (my home state) or the Tax Collector from Stephen King’s “The Wind Through the Keyhole”.
The choice as to which I actually meant is yours.

Well, to be fair, any tax collector who shows up with bright red lips, riding one of the Four Horses of the Apocalypse, and speaking in riddles all the time is always going to be scarier.
Actually the standard deduction and personal exemption makes that exactly so. A homeless guy could make up to 10300.00USD in handouts before actually having to pay any taxes. The minimum income filing requirement for a single person is 12000.00USD, if you make below that you don’t even have to file. Amusingly, if you made 11000.00USD in handouts you techically would owe taxes, but wouldn’t be required to file them. Don’t ask me how that one works.
Sounds like Kirby “Does-his-taxes” Puff needs to teach both this marshmallow and that green dino a thing or two about doing taxes!

I’ll never understand why a nation founded on not paying taxes that one really ought to be paying doesn’t have a tax free threshold for those who oughtn’t pay them.
Heh, according to Google, if someone who’s homeless collects any type of money, including handouts on the street, it counts as income and they have to report it and pay taxes. :p
