keep in mind that even if you’re living with your parents, you’re not leeching off of them if you’re helping pay rent. it’s sad people think they have to move out, because the money spent on a second apartment could’ve gone to helping their parents and their house instead.

Honestly, offering up a service in exchange for goods/access to goods is far from manipulation. And as Anon said, you need to earn money to live, and without the necessaries taken care of, how will you have the time or ability to draw?
Thank you, I’m actually student too, and I don’t want to be leaching of my parents…(I live with them) I hate it when they get me expensive things I don’t want or need, I like to be able to be independent, get my own clothes and even pay for my own meals at times, too that’s why getting my family there own gifts is kind of Important but of course I don’t want anything to be forced into doing something they don’t want…they might have a friend or family that they love too.

This is no different to any other commission advertisment. Artists need to eat. have no idea how she is “using” anyone by offering them art for money or asking for a small donation if you enjoy her work
