She took her cue from Team America.
It’s all just cheap ingredients to distill into model rocket rule
Probably depends on the size of the shelves in your local liquor store. lol
In my admittedly hazy and old memory, the ‘bottom shelf liquors’ were in one section, and would include such things as Five O’Clock vodka, Castillo rum, and El Toro tequila. At the time, you could get a half-gallon of the Five O’Clock for about $5-6, even less if you bought a lot at once.
They kept the Boones’ Farm in the refrigerated coolers, where you’d also find schnapps, Zima, the similar sugary & fruity “fufu” drinks with low alcohol content. These were the ones the college girls would drink and “all of a sudden” be quite inebriated – I personally found them annoying, especially if they were freshmen, because they’d inevitably puke everywhere, much like Rarity above.
Aren’t “bottom shelf liquor” and “trash wine” the same thing
More like a ‘trash wine,’ popular near trailer parks and contemporary ghettos, but the latter part of your description is spot-on. I’d liken it to a mixture of strawberry flavored Kool-Aid and denatured ethanol.
Isn’t Boone’s farm that weird bottom shelf liquor that’s reslly just alcoholic sugar-water
Surprisingly, they didn’t have that at the stores near where I used to party. This is going back about 15-20 years. I have distinct, personal, and loathsome memories of Boones Farm from back then, though. Strawberry Hill, to be particular.
