Just curious, what was the last EQG thing you watched?

I don’t really watch the eqg series (I like to be bewildered browsing the images), this is the first time that reading the tags made the image ten times more confusing.

Certainly, I wouldn’t have minded at all if they showed typical fictional quicksand, I was just impressed that they managed to have RD sink in quicksand and provide a fantastical explanation for it.

In short, its pretty difficult to drown in real quicksand. Because its so dense, you only sink to a certain point, then float. The real danger of quicksand is dying of exposure, dehydration, starvation, etc.

I have no idea what you mean with subverted the incurrate quicksand tropes. But yea i absolutly din’t see that coming.  
I was expecting her getting rescued by Sunset but instead pushed her her under was for me like. Wow din’tsee that coming.

I was pretty happy that they subverted the usual inaccurate quicksand tropes. That is, RD only sank so much because there was a portal under the sand, and even then Sunset had to push her under to get her to go through.

I really found this a very statifieng scene. Not because it became a meme or the fact it looks like she drowned RD in the quicksand. It is because of the quicksnad. I just wonder myself how quicksand lovers react to this scene.

 
Yup, I found Rarity and Applejack to be incredibly out of character in Roller Coaster (since when was their friendship ever treated as more important than their friendship with the other girls to the point that Applejack would be jealous), the antagonist to be possibly their worse done yet, and the stakes to be incredibly low compared to the other specials (they had to put in a otherwise purposeless white room to give any sense of stakes at all).
 
Mirror Magic I wouldn’t say was the greatest, but it had quite a few things I enjoyed. As repetitive as “corrupted by magic” may have become in EQG, I did appreciate how plainly they showed that the magic had outright warped Juniper’s perceptions rather than just having someone state it had, its effects were much more interesting than the corrupted phone in Roller Coaster that seemed to do nothing except teleport things (the mirror sent its targets to a pocket dimension, corrupted Juniper’s mind, and eventually transformed her body). Plus we got Sunset back in Equestria for the first time since the first movie, and Twilight’s two pupils meeting and getting to know each other.
