Remember when Trixie teleported the Cutie Map out of the castle and subsequently broke Starlight’s magical anger bottle causing Granny Smith to whoop on her?
 
Remember when Trixie gold-farmed for days / weeks / months to get the bits to buy a dark magic artifact that controlled her mind and conquered Ponyville because she was ponuthurt that Twilight saved Ponyville from being trampled by an Ursa Minor whose presence was arguably her fault?
 
(Though I’d give her a pass on the Ursa, as it was Snips & Snails who personally provoked it, because only they were stupid enough to believe a stage magician’s theatrics were legit.)
 
To be fair to her, befriending Starlight was only partially to one-up Twilight. Basically, it was an added bonus and not at all premeditated; Trixie did not do it solely for that reason. She also kind of later risked her life confronting the changeling hive and used her stage tricks to convince them her magic had not been disabled when it had so she’s really a decent person and occasionally clever, she’s just an absolute ditz and frequent liability.
 
The only bimbo-er pony than her is Pinkie Pie (who’s done worse, I think.)

Trixie fucks up even more than Starlight in every episode ever since season one. But unlike Starlight it’s not because of honest mistakes or anything like that. It’s because she makes active and conscious choices, and they’re usually very dickish choices. Great example is in No Second Prances where befriending Starlight had ulterior motives behind it and that was to get back at Twilight. Give Starlight credit, at least she always has good intentions unlike her so-called friend. So don’t give me any of that “Trixie only fucked up once” crap because it’s clearly not true and anyone with eyes can see that.

But Starlight fucks up something in every episode that she’s in as opposed to Trixie just fucking up in this one instance, so yeah, that last sentence.

Same thing should be said to Trixie given that she could have prevented all of this from happening if she was the least bit competent. But sure, point the finger at Starlight. Why the Hell not? She’s an easy target..
