I don’t know what to tell you then. I’ll have to ask my friend about this once he sees this episode.
This crystallization of everything just feels lazy on designers’ part. It all looks tasteless, gaudy, and out of place.
Considering this show had been quite good with architecture that felt organic and belongs in the environment they are in. I thought MLP is over with this G3-esque sparkly flowery gaudy business. G4 was supposed to be a departure from such.
That doesn’t bother me that happened so quickly. It will make my friend happy and that’s what matters.
I don’t “hate” it, I just think it happened to fast.
Corproate bureaucracy always gets in the way.
Fuck shareholders.
Of course it’s acceptable. It’s just not the usual. And when you’re in the business of pleasing the masses, as Hasbro is, you must cater to them. Disney does it all the time. That’s why “Frozen 2” is coming out and not “Mulan 2.”
Because “gothy” and cool fantasy looking areas are not acceptable for teh GURLS. NO! They just want their crystally flowery crap.
I don’t know what little girls you talk to on a regular basis, but all the ones I know still want to be princesses and live in fantasy lands full of pretty things.
It’s almost like the toy designers are clueless of how much the franchise and “girl toys” have evolved and still think it’s the 80s/90s.
Yeah, at least it definitely looks better than the castle.
More likely they’ve just been reabsorbed.
Soon all of Equestria will be Crystals!
Still, the fact that we have TWO crystal trees growing in the same general area is worrisome. It’s like they’re an invasive species, multiplying unchecked.
