Like a frog
Yeah, ‘cause, you know, it’s not like we didn’t have episodes like that long before Josh Haber came along. Oh, wait…
The segment you just quoted has all of them very visibly angry at him for doing what he did, but he’s unable to see what happened or even say what he did with the pieces. You know, that aspect of a person digging themselves a deeper and deeper hole, so their natural sense of “oh, dang, I messed up” kicks in and they go “Don’t worry, the pieces are just over here.”
But instead, he:
-Had no concept of the value of the pieces (all the others do)
-Has no concept that the others are quite mad at him for what he did.
I’m not defending the others for their poorly thought out plans afterwards, but their plans all originally had to do with keeping the cave the way it was when they first saw it, and thus we ended up seeing their “plan B” BECAUSE of Sandbar’s actions.
The moral was to work together, and they seemed to initially go for that, but Sandbar was the first to break that since he instantly went to work on his own idea while the other 5 were away and then saw nothing wrong with what he did.
That is your headcanon, none of that is in the show.
@Daneasaur
He blatantly avoided saying what he did with the pieces of the tree other than “I got rid of it” while the other 5 were grilling him like a hamburger on how that was a stupid thing to do.
To qualify as “not-an-idiot”, he’d need to have told them what he did with them. As it was, Yona had to stumble across them, leading him to still not understand that everyone was ALSO mad at him for not saying what EXACTLY he did with the pieces.
As I said, I feel bad for the real sandbar fans, he was a total moron this episode.
I don’t care about your views and I don’t see how am I defending everyone. If there’s anyone who’s biased is you. You’re free to believe what you want to believe, but don’t tell me “deal with it” as if you were absolutely right. I rest my case.
They get called to the shattered tree of harmony. The students all agree that there should be something made in the ruins of the tree to remember it by. The other 5 leave to get their permission slips signed so they can stay and do this thing. When they come back, Sandbar has disposed of ALL the remains of both the elements of harmony and the tree and has a random sapling sitting where it used to be. The other students try to grill him about how stupid and pointless what he did was, but he’s too stupid to understand that he got rid of the actual resources the rest of the students wanted to use to MAKE the memorial for the tree and elements. He never gets any smarter through the course of the episode, and even when he reveals that his “disposal” of the tree and elements was “I put them in a wagon hidden in a corner”, the other 5 want to slap him for not having said that’s what he did in the first place.
He’s singing in this shot || the student six have a song in this episode ||
Edited
For this entire episode, he was a blithering idiot.
I feel sorry for Sandbar fans; this isn’t the pony who cleverly played to Neighsay’s bias against other creatures, pretended to side with him, then went to get the CMC to distract Cozy Glow so he could free the other 5 students.
This is josh-haber-writing-a-spike-episode tier of character stupidity.
I’ve seen people want cozy to be reformed heck the season 9 premier made me one those people but I have never seen anyone wish the student 6 were evil? and if they do there a small minority.
as for you’re other point
Never said you weren’t allowed to hate sandbar as a character what I’m saying is the reasons you guys are calling him an idiot for are a bit harsh I mean why is he being bashed for how he acted when the rest of the four were acting just as foolish.
He has always come off as one to me. And I’m sorry, I won’t defend him because he’s a pony. Fact, people wish Cozy was good and the Student 6 were evil.
Truth is, Ponies can be idiots and evil, DEAL WITH IT!
He made one mistake that doesn’t make him a complete an udder idiot.
She’s got a mental problem, Sandbar is just dumb, stop trying to defend everypony you see. Pretty biased. Sandbar is a stupid pony, deal with it.
Sure, sure. Totally.
Derpy makes mistakes, she’s not an idiot.
nope

@Background Pony #3D22
If it was Derpy in his place who did the same stuff, most of you would praise her.
Reality: Yes he can, he is a terribly written character, and a complete dumbass that makes Scrap It from Dinotrux look smart!
