Welcome back to my Season 9 Retirement Party, where the end is never the end and hope grows anew in magnificent ways! This week’s comic is based on Uprooted, aka: “But Harmony Refused to Die: the Episode”! BEST TREE IS BACK, BABY! Looking back, it makes sense that they would be addressing this right away after what happened in the premiere, as the 3rd episode of a season has often been used to establish a new status quo or set a tone for episodes yet to come, at least in ways not quite covered by that respective season’s premiere. All the same, though, this was an unexpected and very much welcomed surprise!
 
The students return to the new season triumphantly as they return to help Best Tree pull itself back together like the future guardians of Harmony they so clearly are, sing a big song, and… kinda rip off Castle Sweet Castle, but, like, in a good way. I can’t help but wonder if Harmony was at all hurt in its state during the episode due to all the fighting, in the same way that friendship made it strong again, but it all worked out in the end. I am very intrigued by Harmony’s new treehouse reincarnation, and am looking forward to what the writers have planned for it! (I mean, it’s gotta be something; you can’t just drop a bomb like this in the final season and not do anything with it!)
 
So far Season 9 is off to an amazing start! And even more exciting things are yet to come! 2 episodes from now, we’ll have the show’s 200th episode, and… what’s that? …They’re counting Best Gift Ever as an episode!? Okay, nevermind, NEXT EPISODE is the 200th episode! Considering the fact that the 100th episode remains one of my favorite episodes of the entire series, I am excruciatingly excited for this one and what the writers have in store for us this time!
 
Hope you all carry those you care about deep in your hearts, even after they’re gone. I know I will when this show’s over. You bet I’m looking forward to the next episode!
