Another reason could be the fact that most of “pride art” is generic and really unoriginal. I’ve yet to see someone taking a “creative” approach to pride art. If there is any message you want to send with your art (political or not) you shouldn’t do it as obviously as most of the “pride artists” do.

Hence why every other “generic” picture is heavily downvoted. Which is something that happens. Totally.

I hope this will help you understand the perspective of the other side.
Be respective to eachother. ^^

There is multiple perspectives we could look at this subject from, if you talk about negative reception of this kind of art.
The main reason for the annoyence is that people tend to put stuff that should be private into other people’s faces. Sane people generally don’t care about your sexual preference, so making a big deal out of it makes you look like you’re begging for attention.
Another reason could be the fact that most of “pride art” is generic and really unoriginal. I’ve yet to see someone taking a “creative” approach to pride art. If there is any message you want to send with your art (political or not) you shouldn’t do it as obviously as most of the “pride artists” do.
Third argument I could propose on those people’s behalf, would be that the idea of the “pride month” doesn’t make sense at all. You can’t really be proud of something that isn’t your achivement. Saying “I’m proud of being Gay” is like saying that you are proud of being white or having brown hair. You had no influence on those characteristics, so how can you be proud of them? (more fitting would be “I’m happy to be gay” as you can be happy because of a certain characteristic you have)
Last possible thing I saw in other’s opinion, is that a whole month just for LGBT related things is way too much. Most holidays (or days where you should be proud of something) are kept in a day or a week at most. Why should we give whole month to celebrate something so “trivial” as sexuality (To most people your preference doesn’t matter; it’s also a “holiday” centred on a minority) when we give a day to celebrating independance? (for example, 4th of july; Independence is something that is about every citizen of USA).
Those were just some examples of “ideas” that I’ve met in relation to the Pride Month. I hope this will give you some more perspective to look at the subject from. ^^
