Stupid post and typical of ‘peacenik’ ‘thinking’. It really doesn’t matter how Lebanese troops would be ‘seen’ here. Hezbollah had no right to target Americans period. That incident on its own justifies regime change in Iran by any means necessary.

I was clearly just being silly, because not enough people make jokes about freedom of navigation conflicts in the 19th Century Mediterranean these days; I’m pretty much universally opposed to American Expeditionary Adventurism in any situation that doesn’t involve a direct attack on American domestic interests. We belonged in Afghanistan for as long as it took to put the Taliban in unmarked holes and all of Usama bin Laden’s blood on the outside, and that’s about it for justified military action overseas in the last thirty years or so, since there’s no way in hell we’re ever going to actually target the nation that was primarily responsible for 9/11.

Well maybe if it worked.
