I’m pleased with this cute ship. People actually believed spike and rarity would end up together. I very much cringe at fanfictions that guilt trip rarity into dating or banging spike like FUCK. Everytime sparity ever happened it was from Spike’s point of view and spike is a fucking kid Jesus Christ. What I mean is, this seems more natural, Doyle’s finally over his unhealthy crush, and the episode dealt with feeling abandoned by your friend(it’s like when a friend of yours spends more time with another friend you can get jealous and realize.how.much they mean to you.)
 
And to those thinking why does he consider Gabby his best friend and not Thorax(Thorax lives miles away in a foreign country and has a full time job as leader)

I’m the one that’s all for it. This debate was over and done with hours ago before you came along and decided to unnecessarily toss in your two cents. Nobody asked for your opinion. Okay, you think Rarity sees Spike as a slave, despite everything in the show directly contradicting that, and see RarityxSpike as a pedophiliac ship, despite the fact that the writers of the show don’t see it as such since it’s nothing more than a kid crushing on someone older than him, and that’s totally cool if that’s your opinion. I’m just stating my stance on the matter, as it’s all a matter of interpretation. You could’ve at least answered my questions, but that’s okay, as, again, it’s all a matter of interpretation. I personally don’t see the RarityxSpike ship as pedophiliac since, as I stated, it’s nothing more than a kid crushing on someone older than him, and this isn’t uncommon. Shows do this all the time because it happens in real life. Hell, shows like King of the Hill and Alvin and the Chipmunks each did an episode based on this exact premise.
 
Also, I personally wouldn’t take the word of a writer from a crappy comic as canon, merely as an opinion, especially seeing as how the comics are constantly contradicting the show and writing the characters out of character, but that’s just me.
