I dig it
i can’t wait for g5. i hope that g5 will have great episodes to expand just like g4 but better with new episodes ideas.
etc.
Yep. And I think it may have been produced last year as well (maybe before Sunset’s Backstage Pass), because I’m pretty sure I saw 2018 somewhere in the end credits but I may be wrong.
I cant remember their name, but they are the ones who are doing the Pinkie Pie YouTube series, I think.
A 3rd studio? Interesting…
Eeeyup!
It will be!! They are in charge of the movie, they just need a campus and more staff, which Hasbro is working on at the moment.
It looks like the gap content, like the Pinkie Pie CGI series and EQG, is being done by a 3rd animation studio.
I hope G5 will be animated by Boulder like the movie and the summer special.
From reading through the leaks, it ain’t bad. Granted, the info is undoubtably aged, but still it has me excited. Twilight and the girls are relatively unchanged in terms of personality, especially Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. They kinda just took the mane 6, bumped them back to pre-season 1, and changed the world that shaped who they are as characters, which is a really talented writing move. That new world will definitely lead our 6 down new paths, but I think it will be fun to watch that, like how EQG could have been from the start. Sounds like Celestia and Luna are still there, just more majestic.
More potential in world building, with better fleshed out cities, regions for other races like Dragons, and a multiverse component that effectively disables any limits on world building.
All in all, if G5 fails, it will be because it was too ambitious.
Let’s see what G5 has in store
It’s no big deal. Hasbro has had absolutely crap communication, and it is insanely hard to keep track of all the minute details and scraps of news we as a fandom have collected from tweets, interviews, credits, and business reports lol

China has “Growing Up is Hard to Do” set for release on August 30th.
And Australia has episodes 23, 24, 25, and 26 set for release by September 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
So…MLP: FIM ends on September 8th.
If we’re lucky, the episode is officially released online the day before it airs on tv in China (like the previous episode was). So that would be this Thursday.
My mistake, I should have gone back and reread the original tweet.
Confalone confirmed Sunset’s Backstage Pass was DHX’s last EQG special.
But the holiday special could have been made before then.
Edited
Nick Confalone and Katrna Hadley, the project heads for EQG, announced that they were officially done with EQG, and that Hasbro decided to remove EQG from DHX’s library. So, we know from the creative heads that this special is a new team.

Could be a third studio, but you are kis reading their EQG announcment. They just said that as if June, they were not currently working on EQG, but that they hoped they could in the future. This special could have been done before June, it could have been done after June, and their statement would hold true.
Though it could be a third studio just because Boulder is under alot of pressure from the projects they already are working on.
Unless I missed a recent message, we don’t know for certain it’s not DHX. All we know is that their plans for the future of the series were cancelled (but the holiday special may have been made before then).
