Those are what the Storm King and his Storm Creatures might have look like before they were finalized. And even though we see the normal infantry Storm Creatures in the finished film, the heavy infantry which are the Storm Creature Tanks didn’t. Nor were the Storm Creature Gliders, despite appearing in the tie-in book, “The Great Caper”. Well, unless if there was extended edition to the film with the two missing Storm Creature types.

you know, I keep seeing all these things they did, and part of me forgets and I start getting excited for this amazing movie, with a rad-AF 80’s style grimness to it that tells me of an adventure of greatness.. then I remember what we were given.

Why didn’t they design a Chinese dragon long for the Storm King? The words of storm, thunder, and dragons are interrelated across Asian languages and often use the same logograph.
