I think your grays are too neutral. While they aren’t clashingly warm or saturated as the original, my own coloring attempt changed the red-violet to something much cooler in color temperature. I also turned the color scheme to be something more of an analogous sort (blues, indigo’s, violets).
There is also the issue of the gold attracting more attention to themselves (even worse as Luna’s colors are all dark), My color edit changed them to be silver, something much more neutral and doesn’t attract too much attention to themselves.
But, there’s probably more to this black and gold color palette that I’m overlooking, but who knows. I guess I just approached this differently.
