Aren’t Twilight and Blueblood related? Twilight’s older brother married Princess Cadence (Celestia’s nephew) and it’s canon that Prince Blueblood is also Celestia’s nephew.

Seriously, this isn’t that bad a pairing. If Blueblood shaped up a bit, and Twilight found an interest in him, then it might work out.

to this ship, I think it could work, but it would take serval novels for them to even get to the crush phase.
 
Twilight is obvious, being socially awkward and whatnot. Though Blueblood would have a differn’t story. Here’s my headcannon: Blueblood harbors hatred towards Twilight. When you think about it, she pretty much hijacked his family.

I dunno. As Hasbro says, “Every girl wants to be a Princess!” but usually ya gotta snag a Prince Harry first. Or get adopted through some kind of elaborate con. Or found your own country by raising part of the sea bed and causing worldwide flooding. Or taking over a small african country and installing yourself as a dictator, then a queen, then a Princess.
 
Wow. Being a Princess is hard.

You know…I always have to wonder how differently this character would be looked at had he been given some kind of arc, or a little bit of depth or reason behind his being inconsiderate, instead of being a one dimensional, snobby rich jerk, ala Cliff Hux from Titanic.
 
Would lend a lot more creditability to quite a lot of his ships.

Given Twilight’s family clearly isn’t “common” (they probably never were and certainly aren’t now post S2) she could well be one of the few ladies Prince Harry… er Blueblood… wouldn’t treat dismissively.  
This is all part of the Sparkle Family’s Hapsburg-like plan to take over the country via marriage.

I’m actually interested in seeing how obscure ships like this could work. What would it take to not only break Blueblood’s self-absorbedness but get him to date a “commoner” from Ponyville? And for Rarity to be able to stand his presence? I admire how The Prince of Ponyville took a few brave steps in this direction.
