YK if I didn’t see the actual girls first, I’d think “wow this is cool!” But I saw these AFTER i saw what the ACTUAL girls looked like. These in my opinion, are therefore not appealing to me. Hate me all you want but my opinion still stands.

They sure are gonna blend in, their odd skin color or ears won’t stand out, their wings are most subtle and their tatooed faces certainly won’t get odd looks sent their way!

They could have at least had some individuality in the character designs. This just looks bland and lazy.

Don’t know ’bout you, but I was very sceptic about the whole twilicorn thing, but this… this I am REALY looking forward to!

The ears kinda throw me a bit (they seem a little misplaced) but I do like the fact they put a bit more into the poses than the drama-starter. Pinkie’s seems like a perfect translation from the pony pose there.

Non-pony fanart always seems to ‘over mature’ her.

I like this. We’ll have to see if the show is any good. If it is, awesome. If not, oh well. I just hope they keep the smartness, comedy, positivity and the strong feminism in this series, too.
 
I don’t like how “girly” tends to equal “lame”. Girls like awesome things, too. I hope they don’t make this new series stupid.

In a toy fair magazine recently it stated that Equestria Girls would be a companion series to MLP:FIM.

I’m not bothered by it personally.  
Frankly, I think it’s a good (and original) idea to keep some of their pony traits in tact, including their colors.  
It also helps keep fans from arguing over what “race” they should be, and such petty things. (Y’know, like “Twilight should be Indian/Asian!” “Rainbow Dash should be black!” “Rarity should be white!” ect.)

I kind of don’t think they’re making a TV show out of this. Article makes it sound like a 30th Anniversary one-off thing.
 
If it is a TV show, I see no way that it couldn’t be an extremely /strange/ TV show.

Not to sound crass, but this looks like ass. I mean, even more ass-like then the previous leaked image, which takes a lot of effort and dedication. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that they actually employed a team of scientists in order to reach these new levels of ass. We are exploring a whole new ass-realms here, people. We may be evan aproaching fractal ass-ness. This is exciting.
 
In all seriousness, while this is goddamn retarded, I cannot muster much anger over it. More of a bile fascination, actually. Every time I read about this it becomes more terrible, yet I am curious how wretched it can yet become.

You know, I resigned myself to the Equestria Girls concept by telling myself “At least Twilight won’t be an Alicorn in it; she doesn’t have to be set apart here” so I suppose it was inevitable that it turned out like this.

The pegasi have wings, but the unicorns don’t have horns.  
Also, they clearly have humanized princess Twilight, but pony unicorn Twilight.
