yes, well, applejack’s aunt and uncle’s friends didn’t know what a rooster was, so I think the ponies are pretty oblivious, even when the world is falling apart. I wouldn’t be surprised of the next time the world’s about to end they just have some ponies drinking tea while the city falls apart around them.

Why? Because by this point in the series, everyone with some knowledge of national affairs should know both whom they are, and what they’ve accomplished.
There shouldn’t be any conflict with any incidental characters, because incidental characters would recognise them as heroes of Equestria
One thing they said alot was that nothing would change about Twi. MMC made that almost comedically unbelieveable.
