I would rather help her injuries or help her get to help than live with the knowledge I killed her.
 
To be entirely honest, it’s not even that it’s like cannibalism. That’s just another layer of horror. If it were Sombra or Tirek it’d be a bit horrifying but I’d kill them and eat.
 
But it’s Fluttershy. She’s not just intelligent, she’s like an angel.
 
It’s not even the eating aspect that’s so horrible to me or the intelligence, but the combination of intelligence and benevolence.
 
It could be some random background pony and I wouldn’t.
 
Even if Fluttershy was in agony and certain she’d die I wouldn’t. She’s not coughing up blood so I don’t think that other arrow pierced her lung, so maybe it messed up one of her two kidneys but she can come out of this alive so I’d try to save her, first.
 
Starvation is very slow, anyways. You wouldn’t be able to know if you’d die in an hour or a day, but she needs immediate care.

Admit “I can’t do it,” then patch up Fluttershy and ask her help foraging for food. She has to have some skills, otherwise she couldn’t provide for her animals.
 
Now if that were Derpy or a younger pony the dynamic would be different, as they may not possess the skills necessary to help. There’s also the possibility the man could die before Fluttershy got him food or just she could leave him because she can’t find food and she’s scared to return without it.

Those are amazing questions, and one day we’ll have to answer them as we explore the galaxy.
 
But the scary thing is, we have to ask them already. Dolphins are actually very intelligent.
 
If we gave them the fresh perspective of a newly discovered alien species, they might just be intelligent enough for us to consider needing above-animal protection. There are real indications they may even have some form of language.
 
But what’s horrifying is the Japanese still massacre them for food when there’s much less intelligent things to eat.
 
But as it is we don’t even treat other humans right or protect them…

I say kill her.

It’s great to see that this image has sparked some moral questions being asked; those are always so very important! But I’d like to throw up a few question to hear what people have to say.
 
I’ve heard a lot of people say that human lives and happiness is worth more because we are more intelligent but thinking about it, it’s made me wonder why?  
Why is intelligence the main deciding factor in giving worth to a being’s life and happiness?  
Where should the intelligence limit (which determines that creatures above it in intelligence should be considered of worth) be set at?  
How do we measure intelligence?  
Should we only determine the value of a life by intelligence?

I really couldn’t eat her…for me it ranks right up there with not eating other humans. Even in a life or death situation, I will never resort to cannibalism.
 
Also the area is clearly green, there has to be something else to eat around…or hell, you’re in the power position; just say “Either help me find food, or you’re food.” Simple, easy. Problem solved and no one had to die that day.

Step 1: pull out arrows (carefully), or if the arrowheads have really bad barbs, just break the ends off.
 
Step 2: use the knife to cut Fluttershy’s mane and tail, then use the hair to bandage/plug the arrow wounds. And yes, I could use my pants legs instead. But Fluttershy’s hair is most likely cleaner than the pants I’ve been wearing for two weeks, and deep puncture wounds get infected enough without help.
 
Step 3: Hopefully Fluttershy can still fly. If so, she can likely carry us both to safety (she can tow a hot air balloon at prop-plane speeds, after all). If not, some animals ought to be able to tell us an escape route and places to find food and water.

You have a knife, you’re starving. Your only source of food is another sapient being who it is implied would normally not be shot with arrows if you weren’t choosing to try and eat them, and therefore able to find food and continue living themselves.
 
The obvious solution is to ask them to get you help, and if they are unable or unwilling to, well. You don’t have to starve to death if you feel that would take too long.

Starving or not, I would never kill an intelligent self aware lifeform. If this dumb ass was smart enough to figure out that she would actually provide for him, he wouldn’t have to kill for food. He deserves a baseball bat to the head.

Eat her wings, she doesn’t need those.

He must eat to survive but he dose not want to kill fluttershy.

Eat her hind legs first, and keep her alive for dinner conversation.
