oddly enough, completely describes this picture despite its content. I imagine if zombie ponies appear in the show for Halloween, they’ll probably be like this, wacky zombies that retain nearly 100% of their original personality.

DOUBLE TAP, EVERYONE
Actually no. The Warriors of Sunlight worships Lord Gwyn’s firstborn, who was exiled and stripped from his deity title.
Oh, I haven’t played that either.
I believe the exact quote is:
“Ah, hello! You don’t look Hollow, far from it! I am Knight Solaire of Astora. Now that I am Undead, I have come to the birthplace of Lord Gwyn in search for my very own sun! Do you find that strange? Well, you should! No need to hide your reaction, I get that look all the time!
Hah hah hah hah! (…) I will stay here, and gaze at the sun. The sun is such a wondrous body. Like a magnificent father! If only I could be so grossly incandescent.”
In Dark Souls lore, an Undead can still look like and function as a human, as long as he can keep to his Humanity. However, every time they die, they slip away farther and farther from their Humanity, until there is nothing left and they become Hollow, a mindless zombie.
Solaire of Astora is quite the character. He a worshipper of Lord Gwyn, God of the Sun, and sees his undeath as an opportunity to travel to the land of Lordran, where the gods once dwelt, now overrun with Undead. He’s pretty much the only friendly character in Dark Souls. The only one who’s not out to kill you and pillage your Humanity. All he wants is his very own Sun. Which is why he’s consistently shipped with Princess Celestia.
