It’s not just that. It’s also the fact that the Japanese MLP opening theme is pretty catchy.
 
Though you can also argue that Optimus is weeping because it’s the end of the season, and he’s going into withdrawal already.

So, I assume the joke is the Transformers are upset because the Mai Ritoru Ponii dub is far better than their own dub(s). I only say such because nopony else has… The artist might if I knew her description contained any English… And if I actually bothered to check. XD

After actually watching the Japanese dub, I now realise even the bottom lines are Optimus tearfully singing along, just as vonPeterhof said.
 
Damn catchy opening themes. Stay in your head for hours.

Optimus is saying, “It’s just ‘Hi Hi Hi!’” but I’m not sure of the second. Nearest I can tell is, “That’s all the song is” or something to that effect.

I’m not a big fan of the opening/closing songs for the Japanese version either. To me it sounds like they just took the songs from some school romance anime and used them.
 
Otherwise, I like it and Fluttershy is even more killer cute than before with that voice.
