Something like the goats wouldn’t bother me as much if the tone was consistent throughout. “Spider-Man Homecoming”, “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, “Thor: Ragnarok”, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies, they had jokes that didn’t land, but I overlooked it because they have a consistent, hilarious tone. The jarring juggling of comedy and cynical darkness in this movie make the jokes that aren’t funny stand out even more.
