Standards are usually more stringent in those foreign countries, so they exceed US standards and cars need little if any modification to be US road-legal.
This is not exactly wrong, but it’s not exactly right, either. Standards are different in foreign countries. Sometimes weaker, sometimes stronger, but that’s not relevant. To be road legal in the US a car has to specifically meet US standards. And yeah, sometimes it’s simple - some cars are fundamentally US model designs (like Holdens used to be Pontiacs made in Oz). Sometimes it’s effectively impossible.
And there are companies that specifically import cars into the US and title them before selling to consumers. You don’t have to do all the work yourself.
This is true. If you don’t want it to be road legal (i.e. a track car or show car) this can be fairly inexpensive. This is especially true for older “collector” cars (altho the car itself might be very expensive if it’s collectable).

For any other RHD vehicle you’d have to import it from another country, which is usually not possible because foreign models don’t meet US safety and emissions standards. Even when they do, it’s generally a pain to import a vehicle.

They will be a bit pricier than LHD models, but it’s not some arcane process.

I noticed my mailman has the wheel on the right side of thte car. I asked if I could get a car like that, and he said yes.
So it’s possible to do, but not standard make.
Postal vehicles are RHD because curb-side mailboxs are on the right, so the mailperson can reach them without getting out of their seat. If you wanted one of those specifically USPS does auction them off from time to time, altho they’re usually pretty beat up by the time USPS is done with them.

So yeah, it’s possible, but not easy.

Being stuck in a traffic jam in Japan is amazing. The cars all have TV sets in or tentacled to the dash, and all the cars and trucks are teeny weeny compared to someplace like the USA. So you’re surrounded either by the most expensive cars you’ve ever seen, or itsy bitsy trucks and vans that look like toys but are hauling actual construction equipment the size of play sets.
My favorite are the in-city Kamakura or Japanese backhoes. They’re so cute and adorable!
And it can take hours and hours and hours. People just settle down, and spend two or four hours getting from here to that place I can see over there, just a couple of miles away.
Which is reminiscent of traffic jams in Paris. Except in places like Tokyo everyone follows traffic laws and know how to do things like “zipper merges” without riots breaking out.

If we were to flip the whole image it would be making a little bit more sense. RHD van, that looks similar to Japanese minivans like Toyota HiAce.
And all the other cars now make sense

Or she bought a JDM car. Behind her a minivan with the wheel on the left side, and also SUV with wheel on the right.
Yeah, the minivan is interesting. According to Wikipedia that model doesn’t exist in the US. The driver is wearing western style clothes, so it rules out places like Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong where you’d get a mix of Japanese RHD and Malaysian LHD vehicles (the Vanette in specific was built in both places). So I’ll guess this is in Oz. They do have a mix of RHD and LHD there, and they do (according to Google) have traffic jams.
(it’s actually a really good picture, with all that detail to it. Too many artists just do a blurred, featureless background; this artist put a lot of work into it.)

Most European countries? New Zealand?
As far as I know, none of the European countries drive on the left. The UK does, and Eire, but they’re not European (at least, not in their mind). NZ does, and so does South Africa and Pakistan, but they fall into the “various smaller countries”, as do several other African nations, and a large collection of random islands which used to be British colonies.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles.
Well, we know it’s not Los Angeles because it’s a right hand drive car. Probably intended to be Japan (or an Equestian version thereof), altho it could be the UK, Oz, India, Indonesia or a variety of other smaller places.

Shiit I honestly love traffic jams! My job does not require daily commute, but sometimes at 5-6 pm I get on the road and drive aimlessly to just sit in traffic as long as possible. MAAN I love that shit.
Evry time you’re sitting in traffic - you’re actually being a cause of traffic! Can you believe that! Oh man, I feel like I am a part of something when I do that.
