I only wish Alan Moore had the same philosophy. Aside from the forced shoe-horning of an american representative, I thought the League movie was pretty good. Plus, most of the changes he was pissed about, like Invisible Man no longer being a rapist, just a peeping tom, are just nitpicky. You just can’t get away with that in a big budget movie, having one of the ‘heroes’ a rapist. Naturally THAT would have been changed. Ditto his overreactions to some changes in Watchmen (space squid becoming nuclear power) and V for Vendetta (Americans simply don’t care about britain outside of the royal family, they wouldn’t have understood the original Norsefire/BNP/Mosely things.)
 
I can only imagine how Moore would have exploded even more if someone that sucked adapted his works. Boll, Bay, Schumacher, or maybe even turning it into a series on Fox. Like how Hasbro is starting to go… (what’s really annoying is they don’t understand how they’re mistreating it, and also aren’t doing the same to Transformers.)

Thw ponies are already abnormal for horses, why would the humans not look weird too? The mane six are pretty skinny anyway; though I presume their models aren’t accurate in canon

I agree completely. A lot of people, I think even Lauren herself, said she felt she was leaving the show in good hands. And while the writers for the most part have done a good job now the CEOs step in and really mess things up. I feel for her.

Yup, for shame. I just hope Lauren has been avoiding EQG-related news and that brownies have not been bombarding her with it on Twitter asking for an opinion. She created a wonderful show and now it’s being ruined by mismanagement.
 
I’d like to think she would enjoy what IDW has been doing with the comics, but I don’t blame her for wanting to avoid new MLP content, and her reasons are understandable.

Exactly, hourglass figure is healthier and I agree, more appealing. And I’m a girl! Somewhat wide hips for bearing children, skinny (but not too skinny) waist, fairly sized breasts. As long as they don’t exaggerate the proportions, I think girl’s/women’s marketing should encourage that body shape rather than the skeleton look. Of course, they shouldn’t focus on just one body shape either way.

Whether or not Equestria girls succeeds depends on how well it does with it’s target demographic (Young teens, little girls).
 
They don’t care about bronies as bronies are an afterthought and an [b]extra[/b] paycheck that they took advantage of.
 
Hasbro would still turn a profit if Equestria Girls is well received by its intended audience.
 
Fortunately, FIM is still going on and is [b]NOT[/b] getting replaced by Equestria Girls. That being said, we can just Ignore (or try to ignore) this spin-off’s existence.
