The policy that I always used was “the comics are canon unless/until they are contradicted by the show”
It’s dubious canonicity at best
It is usually said that the comics are not canon, except for season 10 (maybe), but that comic was a special crossover, so I don’t know if I can take it as canon, we will have to wait and see if the series confirms it. (TYT or MYM or some G5 comic).
