- Anything that is in the green grassy zones surrounding Ponyville proper (i.e. not within a stone’s throw of other located houses so I can gauge probable distances) is a rough placement. Examples of rough placement include the entirety of Sweet Apple Acres, Fluttershy’s, etc. It’s probably in that general direction and placement compared to the other items on the map, but it could be within a very large range of distances from the other objects.
- The largest change to the map this time around is actually in the outskirts of Ponyville. In the interest of scale, Canterlot, Cloudsdale, etc. have been removed, leaving just Ponyville and its immediate surroundings. On the other hoof, Sweet Apple Acres, the Everfree, and a handful of other items have been thoroughly adjusted to match the official Equestria map and various other features that have come to light (My apologies to Ms. Faust).
- The (few remaining) dark tan lines in the middle of town are possible building locations. There are still locations that we haven’t seen yet (or I missed), so these lines are my best guesses as to where buildings will go once we do see that segment of road.
And YES you can use this map for whatever you like. I don’t own MLP:FiM or anything in it, so that handles the legal side of things. And I want people to use the map for whatever purposes they can think of (the crazier the better) so that handles the personal side of things. Anywho, here’s to hoping this helps everypony with their projects. I’m looking forward to seeing what turns up.

Narrator: The equestrians needed to act…and acted, they did…
Shows clips of equestrians preparing for another charge, this time making preparations for the defences surrounding Ponyville. On the sound of a horn, the attack began…
Equestrian solider: CHARGE!
Hundreds charged behind him
Changeling solider: We’ve got this…Looks up to see a major air attack on their line…or…not.
The line gets smashed by a massive air strike, led by many pegasi squadrons
Equestrian solider: The line is broken! FOR THE PRINCESSES!!!
The soliders made a huge roar and moved even faster
Narrator: With the line now effectively destroyed, the Equestrian 62nd army could finally make some ground up for the losses they suffered. They re-capture many landmarks of Ponyville, including the town hall, the spiral tower, the train station…and Sugarcube Corner. By the third hour, almost all of the town was retaken. The Changeling 6th army was suffering loss after loss.

Narrator: The commander of 6th army, General Pupa, realising the futility of the situation, ordered a major retreat back to the mountain ranges. For this action, Pupa would be executed for cowardice and treason by Queen Chrysalis herself.
Ponies were cheering and dancing
Narrator: With 6th army retreating, the equestrians rejoiced. One pony at the time, Sweetie Belle, described the moment…
Sweetie: It was wonderful. Those icky bugs have finally been driven away from our beautiful town. I could see my friends jumping up and down, screaming that they had survived the event and would be free forever…
More dancing could be seen in many sections of the city
Narrator: Shining Armor, commander of the 62nd army, reportedly rushed around town looking for his sister, Twilight Sparkle. When he did…he gave her a huge embrace and said “Everything’s going to be just fine”.
Hats could be seen in the air as the equestrians threw them up in victory
Narrator: With the town secure, the changelings could no longer supply themselves with the needed love to keep their troops going…and soon…they were greatly weakened. Queen Chrysalis, when she was captured at the end of the war, reportedly said to the Royal Court that: “As soon as I heard that Ponyville was re-taken, I knew we had lost the Battle for Equestria”.

Narrator: After the Battle of Ponyville, the changelings, who were the aggressors, had now become the victims of an equestrian counter-strike. One by one, their hives were captured and destroyed. Many changelings suffered similar fates that they made on equestrian ponies. By 1010, Chrysalis’s forces had been nearly wiped off the face of the country itself. Seeing no other choice, the changeling queen soon surrendered herself to approaching equestrian armies and was taken to a dungeon, sentenced to 200 years of imprisonment. The war had been going on for 6 long years…but now…victory…at last…

AB: It was a nightmare. The black bugs had surrounded our wonderful town. Our food supplies was starting to run out. Many of us were beginning to starve. It was horrible. I wondered if we were ever gonna make it out of this horrific event alive?

Narrator: A day after the encirclement of Ponyville, Captain Shining Armour of the 62nd Royal Army ordered a counter attack to drive the invaders out. However the defences, that the 6th Changeling Army created, could not be cracked and by the end of the day, Ponyville was still encircled. At this point, things were beginning to get desperate for the Equestrians. If they could not drive the invaders out of the country by the end of the month, reinforcements from arriving Changeling armys would overwhlem them and take Canterlot.
Lieut. Winters “You got about an eighth of a mile of open field to cross before we get down to the two bridges near the town hall. There is very little cover so you gotta move quickly. Two sections of light machine guns have been set up in the Rock Pile, they’ll give you covering fire. Third battalion will come in from the west orchard led by I company. That should cause a distraction. D company will be in reserve, but we shouldn’t need them.”
“The point is, you gotta move in there FAST. Get in there before they can bring their mortars and artillery down on you.”
In January 1004, The 6th Changeling Army cut the supply lines between Ponyville & Sweet Apple Acres, destroying any major convoys into the city. With the lines now cut, 6th Army began to encircle the town to prevent any ponies from escaping and to fortify their positions in case of a counter attack by the 62nd Royal Army.
One pony (Applebloom (Who was in the city at the time of the encirclement)) described the scene…
