@Background Pony We got a background pony that spoke in one episode. And then she was never ‘seen’ again. I’m sure THAT sent a swell and not totally confusing message to all the little girls watching the show.

Defending a show’s problems from criticism by complaining is really no better than complaining about the problems. It’s still feeding drama, but with a different motive (which usually isn’t any more noble than that of the complainers).

You see, the argument “it’s just a show” does not end the discussion.  
It’s a good argument, sure, I approve of not getting worked up over small things, but it is not a problem solver.

So while you are all in a hissy fit about Twilight Sparkle, i am just sitting here enjoying my ponies.

RRRRGGGGGH! That isn’t the point! Tara Strong, IN AN INTERVIEW, stated VERY CLEARLY in front of an official, that nothing else of the show was going to change. Twilight still has a lot to learn and it does not, and I repeat, DOES NOT mean we won’t see other focus on the characters. Sometimes I wonder if this fandom is becoming far worse than the Sonic fandom.

I just want to say Optimus and a dragon don’t seem like very apt comparisons. And isn’t it made clear that this change came about because she changed? And would taking the wings away really hurt her? She wouldn’t be lombotimized and forget everything that happened to her. The only thing that would be affected are Celestia’s plans. And I would not mind seeing how she’d react if they go south.
