It’s for my Marspony tumblr, and the setting of a big fanfic project I’m starting on.
The setting is a few decades after the end of season 3. Several subsidized companies have began colonization efforts on Mars. A pony pays for a ticket, and gets to go to Mars on a 2+ year trip. Thousands have gone already, and many have stayed.
Want to go to Mars? The ticket’s about the equivalent of ~$300,000 USD. It’s definitely not cheap, but not impossible for mid-upper class ponies, either! But for safety, you have to take a series of courses and some training with the crew you’ll fly out with. That’s what this is!
See how it mentions things like: “see ‘Water Cycle’”? Those things will be illustrated (Cycles, Using the DCM, and Procedures, respectively) in parts 2, 3, and 4.

That’s nice and all, but, your opinions are barely related to the image anymore, and you’ve gone a bit far with your own personal agendas and opinions, not the first time, but you should watch your mouth and keep your lips less loose about what irks you so badly.

…and in fact, loves cloth diapers enough to make her eyes twinkle at the very mention? (That’s a really cute pic btw)
Also, it’s a real thing. Ever since Alan Shepherd ruined a spacesuit’s LCVG because A) we later learned that the position they sit in on the launch pad puts kidneys into overdrive B) anxiety also does that C) they kept him sitting on the pad for like five hours like that.
Since then they’ve not been too shy about them with spacesuits. No loss if it’s not needed. Huge loss if it is. Those things are expensive! :p

It was a mission for two years. And, well, after three nervous breakdowns it was apparent it wasn’t going so well, so here I am :d lol.

On a different note, I thought you were going to be gone for, oh, say the next three years at some bible-thumping camp or something (excuse my distaste for them; growing up in a Roman Catholic family has instilled a minor level of loathing for them in me). Are you only back for the Christmas holidays or did I just pull some numbers out of my ass?

Hmm. I think my reply on dA was a bit hasty. Thanks for the info. The problem is finding out how to develop detergent from resources on Mars with minimal infrastructure :p
The thing about bleach, is simple hydrogen peroxide can be used as a bleaching agent, which is abundant in Martian soil and relatively easy to extract (due to a very low boiling point). So if a diaper can be made that can handle hydrogen peroxide bleaching and maintain a very long life span, that would be a nearly indespensible asset, seeing as EVA’s are a critical part of Martian life.

Lol, “don’t mention that.” Kinda funny to see someone write that about myself. I try to be, like, the least-judgmental person ever. And I find it kinda cute, anyways, at least when it’s non-sexualized. But what’s sexual for one person may not be for another. I’m just in no position to judge. (while I am opposed to pornography on moral grounds, there’s a thing about opposing an action, but still showing Christ-like love for the person, regardless. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone. One person could’ve cast a stone there, but even He didn’t ;)
Anyways, I am a bit curious as to who you are on dA. You seem to follow me rather closely. I actually think it’s pretty cool someone actually appreciated the big technical discussion I had with Millenium, haha.
