No. I loved this game from the very first second on until the very last. Even though I never really liked God of War, already played Shadow of the Colossus and am a giant fan of the series since Super Cv IV.
This game did the only right thing to take Castlevania in a new direction and not let it stagnate like it happened with so many other franchises out there.
Tight, responsive controls, dense atmosphere, awesome graphics, superb sound effects and music, stellar voice-acting and astonishing designs: what more could you ask for?
And even if you’re gonna say some shit about plagiarism, better well stolen than poorly done yourself. (German saying, doesn’t translate well)
