So true. There is a fine line between being helpful and downright annoying sometimes.
I try not to be “that guy”; just seemed like there was some genuine confusion and I wanted to help with an answer.
Alas, the point between being “that guy” and actually trying to help is often blurred online.

vs.
“I’m still single, girls!”
In the first it’s an adjective describing the girls. In the second, it’s an adjective describing you addressed to girls.
