Well, Episode II was downright creepy with the whole Anakin and Padme thing… The relationships between all the characters, I feel, were more clearly defined and consistent with the original trilogy in Episode III, which, to me, makes it the better of them.
Actually I think its the best prequel, easily. Doesn’t have 2’s awful script or 3’s horrible pacing. On its own its a decent film, though it can’t hold a candle to the OT.
I actually liked Episode 1 & 2 personally. (Guess ‘cause I wasn’t to into the original trilogy as a kid, and never really was a major SW nerd.) I felt 3 was way to “rushed” though admittedly, and hurried up events way to much to tie into Episode 4, the first movie.
