Having read about the Sinestro Corps, I can see Chrysalis plotting to seize control from Sinestro. Until she sees what he does to Mongul when that oaf tries to take control.

A case could be made that Chrysalis would be a Star Sapphire instead, given that Star Sapphires often represent the corrupted love - jealousy, manipulation, and even mind control.

You’d think that she’d be better suited for a Violet ring or even an Indigo one (considering the type that usually get those…).
 
Still can see her as a member of the Sinestro Corps.
