This is how I felt with the PPG Reboot in 2016…ironically, Bubbles, nor any of the other Powerpuffs are voiced by their said actresses (Which is what killed the “Talking to themselves” joke in the TTG-PPG crossover. Can’t exactly make it now since one of them aren’t actually voiced by Tara Strong).

I dunno. If she gave you The Stare or you saw her flip out (“YOU’RE GOING TO LOVE MEEEE!”) I think some people might be scared of her.

Argh, I want to like Xiaolin Chronicles so bad, but the new 5th guy is so annoying and having be a suck-up to Omi doesn’t help, cuz HE should’ve finally had an attitude adjustment after the original finale. I’m sure the age group intended for this revival didn’t even see the original series, so from that p.o.v, the show seems really hard to follow, like when it brings in all the old villains,
 
For example I’m pretty sure Katnappe would find Jack’s new entrepreneur villainy and motivation tactics too ridiculous to follow, but her nor anyone else’s prior characterization has been demonstrated for that thought to be valid. Right noq she’s just distinguishable grunt #2. The pacing is very “there’s no time” compared to how it used to be. There hasn’t been 5 seconds where no one’s talking, and because the 4 are actually stronger than they were at the end of the last series, they only have to say their new even longer attack style names and the fights are immediately over..even the opening blows by too quick now.
 
Although with this new leveling, that whole Raimundo being the new leader thing is as gone and unmentioned as Dojo’s skin color change from green to yellow for no raisin,,,,Speaking of Dojo, those skin conditions he started getting in the final season are every episode now and just as gross.
 
If that wasn’t enough, the actual showdowns are now in CGI so there’s no enjoyment in the animation there, and they also randomly don Tron cyber-suits for them all.
 
Apologies to the VAs, but as a hardcore fan of the previous series, I just can’t get onboard with this…well actually, just apologies to Tara, since she’s the ONLY returning VA.
