This is what most people have come to the conclusion to after these episodes because its all based on what the show implies. Not everyone, but a big majority don’t think RD and Scootaloo have parents after everything AND Sleepless in Ponyville.
Since I’ve already established to you I KNOW the guesses are not canon, the only reason I can’t take anything you say seriously is your rude and overly judgemental for anyone assuming anything, and your assuming everything I say is objectively ‘scanty evidence’ based on your opinion alone.
If you were more polite or reasonable, I WOULD be able to take you seriously.
If you wanted to be taken seriously, you should of at least been more polite and open minded to make a good first impression. Why did you do the opposite if you wanted anyone to take you seriously? You took the more ‘your wrong, I’m right about this’ route.
Thing is, you’re taking what you deduce from scanty evidence in the show and making arguments as though your suppositions are canon. Feel free to do so, but I’m finding it harder and harder to take anything you say seriously. (And I’m sure you can’t take anything I say seriously either.)
I’m allowed to appreciate what the show implies aren’t I? They’re not going to 100% confirm a lot of things. They’re never going to actually talk about the death of Applejack’s parents, so implications are part of the show.
Oh hahaha, yeah I’m sure Applejack’s parents are alive and kicking as well.
Listen, I’m not saying my guesses are correct, I’m just saying what the show implies the most, not 100% confirmed. Like…70% chance or more guesstimate, depending.
Point is,
RD said to Scootaloo, and swore that if she revealed it that she would deny it, that she grew up mostly coming to terms with her fears, not with comfort, but simply being stronger then what she feared. That usually implies a shaky childhood, and unlike Applejack, who the writers confirmed through Twitter her parents ARE dead, RD doesn’t seem to have such a large extended family at all. If her parents were alive, they likely would of been there during the Best Young Flyers competition. The last thing RD wants is pity from her friends. (And no, I don’t have any headcanons surrounding Fluttershy. Unlike RD and Scootaloo, they haven’t implied anything major yet IN the show)
I was just stating the most heavily implied interpretation. What’s your headcanon? That despite not showing a mother, RD grew up with one anyway and both RD and Scootaloo have parents, alive and well, despite canon issues, and Celestia did investigate the Sonic Rainboom but never even bothered to meet with RD. That’s possible, but an incredibly shaky hypothesis.
“The fact that Celestia did not even investigate the Sonic Rainboom that spread across Equestria”
What?
“Raised by a single father”
What?
“lost him pretty early according to her confession to Scootalooo”
What??
headcanon =/= show canon
The fact that Celestia did not even investigate the Sonic Rainboom that spread across Equestria but investigated Twilight only suggests she knew exactly who RD was, and why only she could put the destiny of the Elements into motion, even if she would train the Element of magic to match it. It suggests that RD is the element of Loyalty as well as something else.
That’s natural…not all MLP fans like the military/shonen/prankster/blunt type. I don’t hold that against you.
I simply do. I find her immensely inspiring. Raised by a single father, lost him pretty early according to her confession to Scootalooo, became the strongest athlete in the world on sheer willpower alone, and hides behind a narcissistic attitude to hide the fact her hearts big enough for all of Cloudsdale, all the Crystal Empire, and is willing to die protecting her friends. At the end of the semi-canon micro comic, she creates a physically impossible Double Sonic Rainboom, saving the town from a threat, by literally tearing every muscle in her body and wings apart. She even told AJ she might die seconds before she did it. She survived but took her months of recovery.
Perhaps.
I always did think that of Elements, the next most powerful one after Magic was Loyalty.
Guess if Dash had spent anytime around “Cadance”, that facade would have slipped just by her really being slightly unwilling to put up with all her demands.
I’d like to see a comic or something of Twilight finding Dash sitting down in those caves because of a petty argument.
I don’t think too much about it as I kind of like Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy and Twilight more than her.
The excuse brainwashed Shining gave was designed to be nigh flawless, everyone was fooled by it when it was finally given. One has to appreciate how masterfully Chysalis carved it into Shining’s mind even if he was put under scrutiny.
The point I was trying to make is that RD wouldn’t of taken any guff from a princess she doesn’t know, while the more humble 4 gave her the benefit of the doubt due to her being a princess. RD’s lack of humility is one of her greatest strengths along with it being a flaw…she’s sees everybody equally in time. RD’s the diamond in the rough protagonist, while Twilight is the born and raised protagonist.
Its a 6th ranger trope, her strength is too powerful for her to be unlocked any time but last. Its an interesting dynamic of the elements remember? Twilight is the spark, and RD is the source. Her young Sonic Rainboom started EVERYTHING into motion.
Probably, but who knows?
Twilight was really the only one of them who actually knew the real Cadance and her general bitchiness was easily plausible as wedding prep stress.
Even if Twilight told them how awesome Cadance used to be in relation to how she had been acting then, Dash probably would have just thought that Twilight seeing things through a rose colored filter.
Dash probably would have thought things were a bit off about her, but the whole excuse of being massively stressed was plausible.
It does kind of seem that Dash sits out the longest. She’s the last of the Elements to be tested, the last to be corrupted by Discord, the last to be rescued from Discord, and the last to be brought into the group in EqG. Only time that wasn’t the case was where she was the second to get her Cutie Mark fixed.
I agree. I think RD is the only one with a strong enough will to pull that off, but I agree it would have to be coached. RD could concieve of it, she’s really smart AND street smart when she needs to be, but she doesn’t have the patience necessary to not speak her real mind with her heart on her shoulder. I don’t think Twilight has it in her. What Twilight has in brains, she lacks in her ability to relate to other people as easily. She’s also not very subtle. RD on the other hand can smell deception rather easily.
Huh…I wonder if the writers realized that when they had RD separated from fake Cadense for most of the day…that’s really clever writing, taking the street smart 6th ranger out of the loop.
But I hope the writers don’t do it too often. The ‘6th ranger with nothing to do’ isn’t very good character use.
I don’t think so. She’s a little too brash to conceive and follow through on such a rather long term plan.
If coached through by another party, then maybe. But I don’t think she’d do it on her own.
None of them would probably ever pull something like that off, but I do think that Twilight would be the most likely. But then, she doesn’t need to. She’s already seen examples of what she could have been without them.
Would Dash be willing to play the villain if it meant making her friends stronger? Like the Lelouch Britannia, Vriska Serket ideology?
