I haven’t seen the episode in a while, but I think the technique Princess Cadance had shown to Twilight in Games Ponies Play seems like it would only really be effective in situations that need to have a good amount of control. I mean, Twilight did need to keep everyone there under control so that none of them could blow things out of proportion when they meet the inspector. She wasn’t even panicking in that scene. She may still use this when leading a group or preparing for an event in the future, since she of all ponies would know how to tackle a delicate situation.
 
Now, how about the fact that she might just lose this list, possibly messing up the Summer Sun Celebration in front of the two princesses she idolises and stands next to? This is serious! She can’t calm down now because it won’t solve anything - the fate of all of Equestria rests on how well she holds onto this list!

Why can’t she learn how to calm down? She’ll still be prone to being nervous since you can’t just make those habits go away.

That upload is full of dithering, and mine is from the episode raws, not from a TV rip. As for the size, that’s just a personal preference of mine.

Never thought my comment would get so much replies but I guess you are right. I’ve become on of those people… like the ones who complained how Fluttershy is still shy after some episodes. She will continue being like that just like Twi continues being like this too. Point taken.

Now she can neurotically pace around in three dimensions.

Yeah well Lesson zero was a bit extreme and while I don’t really mind her panicking, it’s a bit sad to see character development being taken away.
