Actually, you can kinda cheat. After getting 1,000 steps, (and earn 10 play coins) adjust the system’s date to the next day, then get 1,000 more steps, (and 10 coins) then adjust the date back to the previous day. You’ll be able to get another 1,000 coins on the today’s date after changing it back. This gives you 30 coins total in one day, if you wish to walk that long.
Also, doing this won’t hurt getting more coins tomorrow.
The always online was a feature that was going to be used to improve game performance but now only certain games will use it.
Most games seem to be getting locked down to 720p.
That’s good, except for that “update” requirement. Should be hard for those who don’t have internet. (Even temporarily.)
Yes they have removed those restrictions but an update download is required to be able to do anything with the console.
Oh, I hear X-Box One is still doing very very well, regardless of the bad rep’ it had after E3. Did they get rid of all those questionable policies/requirements for the system?
(Like requiring you to have your console online, or you can’t play games, requiring you to pay a license fee on games you already bough, even used ones to play them, and such?)

You mean the competition from one console made by the company that gave gamers plenty of reason to hate them and the other not even released in Japan until February 2014?
Also, ironically, I hear WiiU sales have actually increased, especially in Japan, where it’s actually doing better then the competition.
It’s only been out a year, so I don’t see why people are saying it’s a “failed” console already. It’s doing much better then the “Virtual Boy.”

I actually had a hard time trying to “cheat” doing that by shaking it in sleep mode to earn play-coins. It usually doesn’t work for me. If you shake it fast it usually doesn’t work.
