@Oatsy
Actually looks like it could be “code”. In which case the asset was probably flipped. I’ve seen this happen in some video games (The tavern sign in Atelier Iris 3 and the ? sphere and Yoshi Egg in Super Mario World, to name a few)
It could also say cool instead of God, but yeah, seems about right.
I like that idea.
I think it’s more that the bronies who want canonical stuff that makes sense to them are frustrated that the show staff cannot make up their mind what the ponies written language is.
SPIKE DRAGON GOD
OMGGGGGGG….Is that convenient?!!

Above is Gibberish British Horse Language That Really Sucks
Er, which panel is which?
The 2nd and the last panel is written in the original pony hoofprint. Little ponies are taught this in school, though it is not used much in the modern times except for ceremonial purposes.
Panels 1-4 are the romanized language that was adopted to poni from other tribes. Many ponies still can’t use this properly, which is why mistakes like in panel 1 are frequent. But books, diplomatic documents and anything else that might be read by non-ponies (don’t forget the bovine and donkey minorities, beside the foreigners) is likely to be published in this kind of writing.
“Ponji”, seen in panels 4 and 5, is an adaptation of the romanji system, with adjustments to not to completely lose some of the meanings found in hoofprints. THis is what most ponies use today, so it could be found in notes, school newspapers, or any private document or other event meant for ponies that outsiders are intentionally or unintentionally excluded from.
While thinking of pony languages while having some free time on my hands. I was actually wondering if because Equestria has numerous sentient species, if there is more than one written language?
In pokemon anime, all “gibberish” actually translateable:
Edited
“Sihovi Ivcioveflo!”
I imagine the point of this is to make the show less blatantly English.
Other is ancient language: Chicken Scratch.
