Yeah it is to help visualize. And I realize action is part of getting things done too. Just as how the name of God is “I+Will+Being”. (Though “I Am” Is also helpful - “Bless my soul, I’m already there.”) In a way, I can have the desired outcome in mind (The “I Am” Part) But I’m also willing it to be such (“I Will Being” - “I’m Willing For It To Be”) whether it’s buying an orange or driving a car safely or whatever. Things go together, What can I say - Bread, Tomato, Lettuce, Tempeh.

Well even if so it gave me opportunity to think about stuff and realize things so I’m happy and grateful about that. Though I’m tired by the time of posting this so I’ll enjoy some sleep.
And another thing; I post this, But that sandwich part helped me realize that hey, I don’t actually want to be doing this sort of thing which is posting late at night. It’s 2:01 AM at the time of posting this. So good night, Sleep well is suggested.
It’s psuedo-self help new age tripe that acts like the idea of being motivated towards achieving goals is some new ground breaking discovery while using the simplest and most intellectually lazy expressions possible to influence dullards and dimwits.
Did you know that Leonardo DaVinci wanted to paint stuff. He knew the secret. If you really want to achieve your goals you think about them alot and they happen.
It reminds me of that episode of family guy where Brain wrote that self help book.

Well, you can indeed influence your mood and personal actions with such things. But, it take actual action to change anything. You can visualize anything you want, but without will you’ll never accomplish anything.
What do you want me to say about that magical thinking nonsense? That starving kids in Africa and molested children just weren’t thinking themselves out of their situation hard enough?
You want me to say that those mired in poverty just didn’t know the secret of wanting shit and thinking about it really hard? Or do you want me to assume that rape victims were just too scared and attracted their rapists?
Or what? What do you want me to “disprove” out of a fucking movement’s who’s entire basis is “if you want shit and think about it enough it will come true?”
Or perhaps there’s the casual karma idea that if you’re a decent person you’ll be met with decency. That’s worked great in history. You know those jews in WWII Germany should have just been way more polite and maybe they wouldn’t have been put in the gas showers.
It’s a stupid, baseless, and disgusting philosophy with no merit in reality.
I hope I saved a bit of your time by replying to something I didn’t even think was worthy of a response.
Thing is, my brother is the kind of person who would get in a fight.
Only these days it would be with me, about things no sane person would fight about. And only recent he’s been getting belligerent and anger prone.
I hope, the day he has to fight someone else, he gets his inconsiderate and careless ass handed to him. He deserves no less in my mind.

Well, that explains my brother’s worsening condition.
There are situations where full obedience is most certainly required, however raising a child isn’t one such.
There are 3 main modes of parenting, authoritative, authoritarian and permissive.
Authoritarian is what you’re in. Crushing obedience at any cost. This tends to lead to children being depressed, timid, and lacking of world skills…half the time. The other half tends to be rebels, ending up in very bad situations later in life.
Permissive is the opposite, and tends to lead to the old “spoiled brat” kind of kid.
Authoritative is often called “even hand parenting”. Punishing where it’s needed, and rewarding where it’s needed.
The dictatorship way of parenting is tantamount to child abuse in my opinion.
I’m still waiting for a response if you wish to give one.

I’m sure they have some sort of reasoning. Typically it’s the way their parents raised them, or they’re of an extremely authoritative nature, or they use faith as an excuse. And on that last note, that’s not a shot at religion. But, the fact remains, a lot of really authoritative households tend to be so due to deep religious convictions.
Either way, a crushing grip isn’t the way to raise a child. It’s barbarous, and leads to nothing but problems.

I was, and still am, taught to behave. In a way that makes 1984 seem reasonable.

Well, I can’t “fix” you and even if I tried would I be “right?” The truth is being a peaceful and good person is far more useful for yourself and others than being a warrior as a general rule. I’m not asking you to pick a sword, after all.
I just think that kids today are being fed boldface lies about how human behavior, society, and the world works when they’re told that if they just “tell a parent or teacher” that everything will go away.
People do need some fucking backbone.
But for you personally, if you’re not being too put out it’s probably not a problem. It’s best to think of these things in terms of true injustice or oppression. You know, when you see yourself or someone else being truly abused and you know it’s not right.
Then, you can do as you will… but as for me, I’ll throw caution to the wind and speak or act out. I might get a beating or even die but it’s better than living in the shadows of abusers and letting might be right.
