I see.
Okay, I just realized that I wrote that 10 months ago, and I guess headcanon in the above is almost the same as my headcaon now
Edited
Actually, no it’s not. Real life ponies have different neck positions which is why it looks bigger than it is here. Look at the height from hooves to back, in real life pony heads are positioned lower and forward, not high and upwards like in MLP. The height is actually right.

Nonsense. Ponies are tiny:
You could hold one of those no problem.
Schoolagers are probably in the 50 pound range, given the commonly given size for them. That’s not out of the realm of possibility for an adult scooping them up.
The problem is, what is the measurement they are using in that scene? It isn’t specified what kind of measurement they are using on the wall.
I think the size chart taking directly from the show might be a little more canon thatn a fan analysis, pal.
You’re all wrong. This is as canon as it gets: >>229704
It mentions the actual, exact size of something that relates to real world measurements, which gives a guaranteed base to start. I can’t english right now
The units there aren’t mentioned, but if they’re in “feet”, then obviously even the lankiest ponies aren’t more than four feet tall at the ears. Which would again make AJ in this picture much larger than she should be.
Wow, I somehow managed to embed one image, completely forget about it and not notice it later, then search again and find the exact same picture through an alternate method, embed that one, and then post without looking at the preview. Derp.

Uh, we kind of have a perfect scale to gage pony heights. From Pinkie Pride:
You may prefer it, but it’s just about the least accurate one I’ve seen.
and that would be a problem, how?
Uhh, the bunny scale has been used, as has cat. The pet metric has been done.
I prefer this one.
Still not that much horse size.
Dunno why using a standard sized pet from the show as a metric never came to mind before.
Also, I think this is one of the better human/pony size comparisons I’ve seen.
