yeah, immortality in the princesses is not exactly canon.. plus, there’s also the death topic the show writers said they wouldn’t touch. Ageless maybe, but immortal, no.

I looked up and there is also an Egyptian god, Amun, but I doubt that’s the connection between the names.
I never really accepted that theory.
But alicorns are powerfull and the princesse’s are immortal, so having their magic and power drained woukd be the equivelant to exhastion or jetlag.
