Nova Sol

Only… like, everybody I know? Who DOES put wheels under a piano? You lift the damn thing up and shove a platform with wheels underneath.

From the (terrible) chapter book:
>“What kind of person doesn’t put a piano on wheels?” [Rarity] asked herself. (But maybe she should have wondered what kind of person would take the wheels off a piano before suggesting one of the Equestria Girls use it.)

From that same book: “Ugh!” moaned Rarity, collapsing on the floor. “I should have known Trixie was up to no good when she oh-so-generously offered to lend me her piano.”

So, yaeh, it was Trixie really.

My pet theory is that in the original script, the Alicorn Amulet originally had the spirit of an ancient alicorn who took over Trixie’s body. The Alicorn was so ancient that wheels were a new invention around his/her time. So he/she didn’t trust them. The episode then dropped the ancient alicorn idea, but kept that line about not trusting wheels.
