That’s exactly what I’m thinking too. If the majority of population doesn’t want to be part of a country, they should be allowed to make their land whatever they want it to be. After all, president doesn’t own the area and country consists first of all from people, not land.  
Sadly, in our government such a thing is completely impossible since letting a part of country to separate cuts down the money our government is stealing on the daily basis. Tsars need slaves after all…  
“Glory to Ukraine” how they say… In truth, there is nothing left to glorify here, just a big rotten dump. All clever people have already left abroad. Even Russia looks better than Ukraine as of now, and that fact alone is telling a lot.

Where? At the very start, where Ohgi and Kallen’s group were stealing what they thought was poison gas? For all of one episode?  
“Can be seen”? Sure. You can also see Stalin and Mao’s governing as small slipups in the glorious international socialist revolution.  
“Blindly followed” - what, they didn’t repeatedly question Zero’s decisions and identity, and their following anyway wasn’t after he proved his worth repeatedly?

But I think we’re digressing: The rebels used to be the good guys. The Uploader does identify the enemy as “separatists” here. Why has it become a bad thing to want to separate? If people don’t like their government, and if they want to separate, shouldn’t they be allowed to?

I Think a big part of code Geass was on how the main Rebel group the black knights questioned their motives and their actions.
 
Interesting the series can be seen with the perspective of the black knights as black clothed terrorist who blindly followed orders from a masked figure who used destruction and suffering as a rally cry to achieve his own ends while the white knight Suzaka defender of the innocent and knight to a purehearted princess seeks to stop them.

I was referring to Star Wars. I honestly thought anyone would catch that. Didn’t think enough about it, I guess. But also, say, Braveheart, and other such stories of peasants rebelling against oppressive rulers, like that Wesnoth campaign, all films about the American Revolution, Firefly, Code Geass, Starcraft 1 and 2, Final Fantasy X. And XII. And XIII (never played any of the others, shamefully), Red Alert. Hell, South Park the Movie (Viva la Revolution!).

I’m from Ukraine and what you says is almost true.  
Though not all Ukrainians wants to join EU, there are lots (on eastern bank the majority) of people who think that it is better to keep things like they were before all this crap had started. And there is even a decent amount of people who support Russia.  
But these people are mostly scared and try to keep low after the upraise of radical pro-Ukrainian forces (that are quite close to nazis in my opinion) which are armed by western “colleagues”, and won’t stop pursuing the goals set by their “masters” even if it requires to kill hundreds of civilians in the process.
 
Seriously though, they scooped up the majority of radically-active men with blood on their hands from the “right sector”, annexed their crimes, gave them guns, armor and armed transports and sent them on the “anti-terrorist” mission to the eastern bank.
 
The whole Ukrainian incident is just another one well-practiced fake revolution which USA is in love with. It was proven that quite a decent number of people participating in the “revolution” on the square were European-trained agents. And it takes just 1 skilled man among the 100 people to start a “righteous” massacre. So yeah… go figure.
 
21-st century and USA still tries to push against the remnants of the soviet mentality in their so called “Cold War II”… facehoof.

Well I don’t know about that, the accusations of nazism are thrown around a lot these days(if you listen to the president of Venezuela those liberal collage kids protesting government control stoned out their minds in their underwear are fascist too)
 
I know Ukraine has a lot of connection to the actual nazis,and apparently Those’s connections are horrifying and while some neo-nazis elements are infused in the Kiev government I think that most of the higher Ukraine’s (including “chocolate king”) against Russian influence are just European Union puppets and we all know Europe has Americas economic leash tied around its neck. We also know that a lot of those pro-russian separatist are just Russians in a guise of locale self defense force. And that those troops Putin has on the border are poised for invasion.
 
Now that the European Union refuses to place anymore sanctions(in fact some of the biggest petrol companies in Europe including BP have just signed A ton of deals with Russian gas companies)and with that huge eastern china deal worth 400$ billion along with the making of the Eurasian union,the first step in Putins plan to remake the Soviet Union, it look like Obama (who in the same week got to accomplish nothin except another scandal he didn’t know about) was once again wrong about “isolating Russia economically “. Their economy may still be small compared to the west ,but their unified under a strong and competent leader,have the resources two other societies need desperately,and of course it been proven once again that America can’t do crap against Russia except whine and send more guns to terrorist.
