Guess you lost that bet! :3
Not necessarily. I do believe MLP needs the occasional WTF moment to competently showcase a variety of moods, from heartwarming to nightmare fuel. The versatility of handling different moods can be a sign of a well-written show. It’s just that, given how Fluttershy’s a big waifu for a lot of people, and the whole design is reminiscent of something out of .Mov, I thought many bronies would be scared of this scene.
And that’s a bad thing?!
I’m fully aware of the prerequisites needed for the Hulk pastiche, even though I’d hoped she would be Aquaman.
It’s just that, the whole scene, from the Hulked Out design to Fluttershy’s terrifying nature, it just seemed like it would be an appropriate fit for a more demented work of art, like Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared or Ren & Stimpy, not freakin’ My Little Pony, even though I’ve seen some freaky stuff from those ponies.
Flutterhulk was kind of a thing since the Gala and putting your hoof down episodes. Now it’s manifested.
Side Note: in Putting your hoof down: When Fluttershy realizes she’s becoming a monster. You can hear Denial Ingram’s version of “the lonely man” from the 70s Incredible Hulk show.
I thought most people would have been weirded/freaked/grossed out by it.
they can go mad with power easily.
Also note that I put the word “Stereotypical” in parenthesis. Now that should give you a clue as to why making Fluttershy the Hulk in a episode was a stupid idea.
As far to my knowledge, real shy people are too weak to fight back against anything.
Oh yeah, @RIG, I wasn’t baiting, I was just stating my opinion.
Into an argument, yeah.
But I sort of agree with him.
>episode is already old
>this pic is old
>suddenly someone post a massive rant about it
dude, it wasn’t obvious that guy is baiting?
In their defense, Shy gets super aggressive at the drop of the right hat quite a bit.
However, her best moment of such was in the face of a dragon, this time was a squashed bug. So, yeah….
Out of all the concepts for superpowers to give Fluttershy, this was the best they could come up with? What a load of (stereotypical) crap!
I mean, how much more cliched can the writers get? And on top of that, what kind of message is this `posed to teach your kids? “If you anger a shy person, they turn into a aggressive, muscular monster and pull a fatality on you?” BULLSHIT!! Shy people are helpless and weak; they can’t defend themselves or others, everyone knows that!
This is the most insulting thing to Fluttershy’s character and to shy people everywhere!
I apologize for that rant.
