I may or may not ponify Expiration Date. There was a lot, so much I could do, it’s tempting, but looks sooo troublesome.
Incidentally, I might actually have to consider switching Pinkie and Applejack’s classes - I’m normally not one for Apple-gineer, but I could certainly see Pinkie Pie popping up with a bunch of bottles of drinks in a room full of ponies and saying ‘What?’ No promises though.

To be fair, I don’t think any of them would be more likely to hurt anypony. I mean, I can’t imagine Twilight spent years in a school for magical unicorns learning multiple sciences and philosophies to shoot ponies in the head and throw jars of piss at them.
I actually had Iron Will as Saxton Hale and Flim and Flam as Redmond and Blutarch.
And Trixie as Merasmus. Skilled magic-users they may be, but that doesn’t stop them from really getting the short end of the stick sometimes.
Celestia-Administrator (The Big Good of the series who always has a plan and knows what’s going on.)
Shining Armor-Miss Pauling (Skilled-ish combatants devoted to their employer)
Discord-Saxton Hale (They like explosions and chaos.)
Blu Mann-Blueblood (Need I say more?)
Red Mann-Cadance (She’s lightish red and occupies the same less-than-Celestia but higher-than-a-commoner area as Blueblood. I’m aware this one’s a weak choice)
Grey Mann-Nightmare Moon (Villain comes out of nowhere, shakes up status quo, sends Big Good into hiding. The robots? Her shadows, from IDW. This also frees up Chrysalis for the BLU spy position.)
Zecora-Merasmus (Semi-neutral mages with cauldrons and cloaks)
I mostly agree with Trickquestion’s BLU loadout, although I’d have Ahuizotl as Demo to free up Iron Will for Medic (He’s more of a support character, despite his bulk) and make Tirek (The biggest, toughest villain yet) the Heavy. Garble could be replaced by the Diamond Dogs or another brute if you like.

Heck no. If I was going to write a TF2 crossover, it would be about the daily life of a poor DISco employee delivering weapons and supplies to the pony mercs and trying to survive the strangeness that is working for Discord. Plus the whole robot-changeling invasion that’s happening at the time.

If we are going with Alternate Universe, I could see a ‘Nightmare’ Celestia and Nightmare moon fighting each other.
My temptation would be to make someone like Shining Armor miss Pauling, but only so that we could have Rainbow Dash ask Rarity to set her up on a date with Shining Armor.
Rarity: “But you’re awful with colts.”
Rainbow Dash: “What? Rarity! Have you seen this? I’m amazing with colts!”

Rainbow Dash: “But Stallions! Classy book reading stallions like Shining Armor don’t go for a mare like me.”
If Shining were to be Miss Pauling, then I’d make a dark version of Cadance become Helen. But again, it only works for the one joke with Rainbow Dash.
Say…what if Celestia (or maybe even Nightmare!Celestia, so she’s not absurdly out of character) and Nightmare Moon were playing the role of Blutarch and Redmond in this hypothetical universe? Without the Elements of Harmony, they’re just immortal sisters locked in an eternal war. Celestia used to be fighting to get her sister back, but has been corrupted by the very force of ambition that took Luna from her as well.
Though if that were the case, I’m not sure who would be Helen. Or Miss Pauling. Maybe one of the remaining arc villains, like Tirek or Sombra? Or Sunset Shimmer as Miss Pauling?

Celestia being the Administrator only works depending on who Red and Blue are. As the Administrator has done all she could to keep them from killing each other (by having everyone else kill each other) and keep the conflict going so that neither of them could win. If the two of them are bad guys, then having Celestia as the Administrator doesn’t make much sense. If it is someone she doesn’t want to see hurt (which is why I thought of Luna vs Luna), then you could see Celestia putting up a war that would not end to protect her sister.
Oh great, a limited time item. Welp, might as well get to crafting, as that looks hilarious. Personally, I’m more excited about the B.A.S.E. Jumper, though.

That would actually be a fantastic way to work Discord into the TF2 universe. I was trying to work my way down from the big bads and include them somehow in the TF2 universe. I mean, I almost feel like the Administrator should be played by one of the major FIM villains rather than Celestia, simply because of her villainy.

That’s right, she’s going to throw Muffy onto the heads of her enemies, and they’ll all take mini-crits.
I had never thought of using Discord as Saxton Hale, but you’re right, that’s pretty dang good. He’s ludicrously powerful in comparison to the rest of the cast, and both love conflict (Discord his world upside down chaos, while Saxton loves more direct physical violence) and seek to propagate it at every opportunity.
Thinking about it, I would have to agree with Chrysalis as Gray Mann. Which would put Blue spy as Suri Polomare.
Much as Flim-flam brothers look kind of like Blutarch and Redmond, it doesn’t really fit them. I always thought of Celestia being the Announcer/Administrator (Helen), and the only person I could think of for Celestia to care this much enough for would be Luna. So Blutarch and Redmond would be S1 Luna and S2 Luna fighting each other convinced that the other was was Nightmare moon, and winning the war will prove it to all ponies! At least, that’s how I saw it.
While SAXTON HAAAALE is a peek of MANN-liness, you also have to remember how crazy he is with his ideas and selling weapons that may or may-not work. He always struck me more as Discord than any other character. At least, Discord trying to be exciting and show off.
Flim and Flam might work best if you thought of them as both engineers on the team who are both equipped with gunslingers, thinking two mini-sentries are better than one level 3 sentry. Either that, or the two rotate the job of Engineer and no one notices them change. Which would leave the medic open to Sunset Shimmer.
That, and I REALLY want to see Rarity slap RD with a mannequin while shouting “SEDUCE ME!”
