The November listing is out of date; that solicitation was canceled at the eleventh hour when 4DE realized their suppliers weren’t going to be able to deliver enough units to cover existing orders, and the items were re-solicited for a January release. Funko also had supply problems with their Celestia vinyl figures; I think everyone involved underestimated how popular she’d be with pre-orders.

The given November release date is incorrect. According to Entertainment Earth where I have found them available for preorder, the plushies will be released in January. Future Twilight and Celestia are not listed yet but there is an alicorn Twilight. Whether they will be sold on Amazon I don’t know. It would be nice if Amazon did sell them so I could save with Prime shipping.

When will they release these? And will I be able to buy them on Amazon?

I was already just assuming that the princesses being listed at the same price point as the others was an error; there’s no way 4DE could justify it with the significantly larger designs. Previews gets details wrong sometimes.

I was going to say. It is surprising Trixie maintains the same price as the standard plushies with her accessories.

These are 3-dimensional objects. They may not be wider than the normal plushes, but Celestia and Luna certainly look longer than the normal plushes in addition to being taller. They may not be double the volume, but they look like they’ll be close to it.
 
What surprises me is that Trixie is the same price as Derpy, given that she has both a hat and a cape in addition to the standard pony body.

$60 is more than double the price of the 11” plushies for less than double the size and the level of detail does not seem significantly greater. Then again, these plushies are intended for mass production and Luna and Celestia being the odd sizes out makes them more pricy.

Check it out, y’all: Funk Soul Brother This is from the current Diamond Previews Plus catalogue; that means any local comic shop in the US that offers pre-orders or a subscription service can order these for you with no postage costs. Call up your comic shop and ask if they do pre-orders on merchandise, and if they do, give them the Diamond catalog ordering number and product number (MAY148129I and STK651765 for Applejack, for example) and they can have it added to their regular comics delivery the week they drop, and you can simply pick them up with your weekly comics. The shipping for 4DE plushies is $12.95– half the price of the plushies themselves– and will probably be more for the Luna and Celestia since they’re freakin’ huge and don’t think they’ll fit in a standard Priority Mail Large Box.
