Thanks. That was what I was trying to get to.
P.S.The story that I was talking about (probably mis-remembering a lot of details) was from Elseworlds Superman & Batman: Generations.
The weakness doesn’t mean she can’t use it, there have been a number of yellow-skinned aliens to have been Green Lanters, it just means the rings is not as strong on yellow objects.
Since you seem to know more than me: Please answer the question that I was trying to answer.
Would Apple Bloom be able to use a green lantern ring even though she’s yellow?
Man, I really want to not care now.
Man, I shouldn’t argue that much. I’m not exactly a Green Lantern fan.
So the question you should answer is, since you know so much, would Apple Bloom be able to use a Green Lantern ring even though she’s yellow?
Because that’s what I was actually trying to get at.
I absolutely have no idea what has happened in the current Detective Comics Comics continuity since the last time they decided to kill off their previous main universe.
There is no “depends on the continuity” it’s about what universe it took place in, and if it’s in the main continuity(formally “New Earth” but now “Prime Earth”) then it’s not the same universe without a retcon.
Wrong, it’s in the main continuity of the DC Universe.
It does matter as it is part of it’s history.
As I said, it depends on the continuity. When Parallax first happened he was just Hal Jordan gone insane until retcons were made.
The story was out of mainstream continuity when it was written so it doesn’t really matter that much.
Oh and the “yellow impurity” was from the Guardians trapping Parallax in the green power battery, Parallax is the embodiment of fear and of course it’s color is yellow.
The Alan Scott ring and the other Green Lantern do not have the same power, the name is really all that is the same between them as the source of there powers are actually of a different source.
That depends on the continuity & time in said timeline.
In one story Alan Scott had a weakness to wood because a thug caught him off guard with a baseball bat or a stick while Kyle Rayner didn’t have a weakness because he didn’t know he was supposed to have one. The corps had a weakness to yellow there because the Guardians wanted them to have a weakness, I think.
Though that was just one continuity.
It depends is the short of it.
Apple Bloom is yellow, so would her ring even work?

As good a guess as any, I suppose.
His yoke. The rings can be disguised, as well as generate different colors and change their initial shape. The color thing just doesn’t have a use in combat so it’s not really thought about. A green lantern whose race couldn’t see had his ring turned into a bell.
Also, that would explain why Big Mac’s yoke is on and we’ve only seen him without once or twice.
No one can remove it but him.
The thing is, none of the Green Apples have rings visible in any part of this pic, so I think where they’re keeping them is a valid question. Base of the tail?
Don’t forget Rot Lop Fan, the F-Sharp Bell. Admittedly, he has a ring on his finger, but I think he needed a mention.
Got no appendages for it to go on? Then have it on your torso.
Don’t have a solid body? No problem, have it IN your body.
Heck is only has to be on the body.
Mogo’s ring is the size of the ring of the Lanterns of Earth but it’s on a rock formation in the core of his body.
Anywhere you can put a ring, I guess. If that ring can be any size…
I was joking, but it’s probably not bracelets unless Big Mac lost his somehow. Anklets?
Dude, one of the Green Lanterns was a sentient math equation, there have been tougher cases. Plus the rings can be any size, they probably just wear them as bracelets.
Wait a minute.
They don’t have hands, how do they wear rings?!
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil’s might
Beware my power - Green Lantern’s light! »
So I messed up, I haven’t been feeling all that good today and have been out of it, but he could just put “*would’ve” and not a rage face.
You said “would of” when grammar dictates that you were probably supposed to say “would’ve”.
What?
