(addendum)

After 3 years, I’ve come to the conclusion that she has them because she has mastered the powers she wielded as Nightmare Moon and thus there is no longer any concern about the latter returning.

Granted this is pretty much one half of what I expect Luna to look like 1000 years after the events of the show, but still.
