Yeah, in ink is coming out better. I think a lot of artists draw lightly in pencil, then ink over it in pen and remove the pencil. (or use a colored pencil initially [light blue, for example] and ink in black afterwards.)
I might still retrace the lines, but I’m experimenting with colored lines.
I tend to redo the shading because those areas end up being hard to clean up and it tends to look better when I just do my own shading with transparent layers…
