@Minus
Indeed, as is said in my previous post I do have autism and it is strong enough for me to require a little extra consideration every now and again but there are just some people out there obsessed with having the rest of the world bend to there wills.

And “unfortunately” some of these people one way or another end up with some sort of disability which they seem to instantly encase in various combinations of self-pity and a twisted sense of superiority via there sense of being a victim. With this in hand and the guilt that they breed they go about trying to assert their individual whims on the masses.

I may have a disability which causes me difficulty and thus I do require assistance every now and again and as an individual I do have value thus my needs should not be ignored, however just because I have needs does that mean no one else does? Are not the masses themselves made up of OTHER individuals? Why should I expect so much “help” from others if I am not even interested in trying to understand and appropriately help others?

That is my take on it anyways.

People talk about the red badge, but it’s the yellow badge I see being potentially problematic. It’s really just a step away from saying “don’t talk to me if you’re not worthy,” and there are differing levels of acquaintance that the yellow badge does not clearly distinguish, especially if someone is famous and may not clearly recall everyone he or she has already met. I understand why it’s there since people with social anxiety are naturally more comfortable around familiar people, but it still causes unnecessary tension in inherently social situations. And the potential to abuse the privilege remains despite it not having as much gravitas as the red badge.

This might shock you, but there is no “Ew, Autism!” on this board. We do not hate this idea because it comes from an Autsitic source. We hate it because IT’S STUPID. You’re the one blinded by it’s source, making yourself a hypocrite.

If anyone is planning on wearing a red badge, then a con just isn’t the place for them. Unless you’re a vendor, you’d be stupid to go to a con where you are certain to bump into a stranger and have your day ruined.

Though some people do use the con as a meeting spot, so I could see red cards being used for that too. But I hate those guys, con’s already packed as it is without turning it into a fandom meet.

You mean like the sort of thinking for themselves that people should do by leaving other people alone if they don’t want to be bothered instead of using badges?

Or not listening to an image board such as this one which you’re telling everyone what they should be thinking?

Not exactly,believe it or not, i never had a fight with 4Chan (no dox,no stalking).What frustrate me is that knee-jerk everyone had when they learn those badge came from autism therapy.Years of being hammered in the head with “le autism” jokes turned the majority of people into that.Into childrens having knee jerk reaction to the word autism just like you would have knee jerk reactions to being “called” gay.From what i read in the comment, no one is willing to even TRY this method because it has “autism” associated with it.Maybe this method will work,maybe this method will fail, i dont care,i think people just should TRY and thinking by themselves rather than letting an imageboard that relent and celebrate cruelty and sociopathy doing the “thinking” job instead of yourself.I hope that answer your question and that will convince the mods that i have legit point to make against 4Chan rather that,like they want to simplify it,spreading hatred.

I don’t think he’s looking to pick on autistic congoers, he worried that some jackoffs are going to abuse this system so that they can harass others without getting in trouble with the convention staff.

And wow, that was quite a rant you posted. Nursing a grudge?

@DeeperMadness
Let’s deconstruct your passive agressiveness.You assume because i dislike the knee jerk reaction that people have about autism because 4Chan hammered that idiotic mindset into people mean i’m associal.If i went to a Con (and here you assume that i’m American) i’m more likely to wear a yellow badge,if Internet taught me something,it’s that you can only trust your closest relations/friends

That’s hard because it’s presented as a RULE.And in this generation of man teen in perpetual teen angst RULES AND LIMITS are the ultimate evil.If RULES AND LIMITS are put in place,this generation of imbeciles brainwashed by 4Chan anarchists think that the rules have bee put in place to cockblock them and ruin their fun not for their true purpose,avoiding that dumbass headbutt each other.The unfortunate part is that it originate from autism therapy and since Almighty Untouchable Defender of Freedumb Of Spit 4Chit decreed that “autism” is a swear word and mean retarded and that every parrot in the damn board repeat their opinions without second thoughts through the sheer power of le wacky maymay,you have your controversy
amess

Good grief I hope this is fake…
I may be have autism and need help/consideration every now and then but I learned a long time ago to try and meet others at least half way.

If you don’t want others to talk to you I suggest not wearing tags that draw attention to ones own self.

Some man with red badge asking something from me.
I completely ignore that little piece of self-declared “elite”.

See someone with a red badge? Then don’t annoy them. Is it really that fucking hard?

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

I can see it now. Somebody who wasn’t aware of the badge system will ask somebody wearing a red one if they’re okay because they probably look a little flustered. This will immediately trigger them because they’ll shriek that the badge makes the wearer a no-go zone. Things escalate, and then everybody will be wearing a badge next time.
