Don’t you dare condemn a voice actor just because he gets the short straw of a character. Vincent Tong has done many more characters than that you know. Not just MLP characters but many others from different shows.

Me and the artist gave the pillow to him and you should have seen his expression. He’s such a chill guy, he loves the fact that people are both throwing positive and negative feed back to him.

What does he think about the reaction to his character?

I passed him in the hall and started talking to him like he was a normal person. He didn’t even have bodyguards or an entourage, he’s just one of us :D

I want one for my own! And during nights, I’ll lay down in bed, arms and legs wrapped around Flash Sentry, my eyes looking adoringly into his disapproving face.

Flash hasn’t had much dialogue yet, so I find it hard to recall exactly what his voice sounds like. Meeting Vincent would be weird for that reason.

The assurance was that he wouldn’t be a character. Most people assumed that meant he wouldn’t appear at all, but even at the time that Meghan McCarthy made that tweet, there were people speculating that animators could add him after the script was finished.

A lot of people seem to be afraid that the sole reason for pony Flash’s existences is to turn him into Twilight’s future love interest. The fact that he had two small cameos in Season 4, despite the assurance that he wouldn’t appear at all, only increased the paranoia among the people who don’t want a canon Flashlight romance. While I liked his cameos and hoping for more Flash Sentry in Season 5, I can actually understand the Bronies who don’t want to see him again – at least the non-crazy ones. After all I’ve seen so far I don’t believe the show makers could come up with a romance story than doesn’t feels shallow and generic.

This is fall-down-and-roll-around funny for many reasons, not least of which is his Sonic The Hedgehog character hair. This is clearly a man who enjoys sharing all the zero bucks he gives.

I wish such vitriol toward high schools was a little more keenly directed toward that ridiculous Cadence/Shining Armor comic, which incidentally was actually more clichéd than Equestria Girls.
 
At any rate, inventing a character for Twilight to crush on isn’t as big a deal as people seem to think. That’s how fiction works after all, you make up characters to fill the roles in your story. Twilight herself has been the center of a LOT of contrivance that really strains tolerability.
 
Needless to say, I remain unconvinced. I still haven’t seen any compelling argument for why he deserves all the apparent loathing.

Well they designed him with the sole intend of making him Twilights Love Interest in a My Little Pony movie that replaced the ponies with human teenagers in a High School. For many people in the Fandom he’s basically the prime example of everything that’s wrong with EQG.
